Kalamazoo Ghostbusters

Is there an unusual phenomenon in your house? Something strange in your neighborhood? Who ya gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!

The Kalamazoo Ghostbusters are fans of the “Ghostbusters” movies and TV series, complete with movie accurate props.

Their focus is community awareness and family fun. Drop in any time to check out their ghost-catching gear, fire the ghost zapper, and possibly capture “ghosts and creatures” in the Ecto Incubator.

BIG Fall Book Sale

The Friends of the Library are putting together another AMAZING Book Sale for the public to enjoy. All of the money raised at the Book Sale comes back to the library. These funds are used to encourage reading in the early literacy category. The Friends of the Library are also a huge source in funding the Summer Reading Program.

Flu Clinic

Thursday, September 27 from 10 AM – Noon

The Centers for Disease Control states that the best protection from the flu is the flu shot. The prime time to get vaccinated is in the fall. A variety of vaccines will be available at this flu clinic. The clinic will accept all Medicare Part B insurances as well as private insurance plans, except Medicaid. STEAM Stations

For Kindergarten – 5th Graders

Each week there will be several stations set up in the large program room for children to explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) concepts. Stations may include: Science Experiments, Technology Take-A-Parts, Building Creations, Art Design, and Math Games. Drop in each week and choose one or several stations to investigate and discover new STEAM related ideas.

Adult Coloring Club

2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month at 2 PM

Join other coloring enthusiasts in the library tutor rooms. Participants will be able to share coloring tips and techniques while socializing with others. Many grown-ups are finding out what kids have known for years: coloring provides a relaxing, stress-relieving pastime — and it’s fun! All supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you wish.

Adult Strategic Game Night

Now Accepting Bids: 2018/2019 Snow Season

Image result for snow plowThe Otsego District Library is now accepting bids for plowing the entire library parking lot and salting the lot upon request. Plowing is requested for when there are 3 inches of snow or more. Please note price for plowing and salting separately in bid.

When needed, plowing must be done before library opens (9 AM Mon-Sat).

Also accepting bids for sidewalk shoveling: Shovel back staff walkway and areas in the front not plowed out by our snowplows (sidewalks out to the lot and front entry area). Spread salt on sidewalks when icy. Please submit a bid per time. This would be done on an as-needed basis and only upon request by the library.
