“The most active thing about me is my imagination” – Garfield, Jim Davis
Join us this winter for Garfield’s Glow Games! Celebrate the beloved American comic, “Garfield” created in 1978 by Jim Davis. Garfield and his friends will bring you a whole new neon glow adventure during this winter’s Early Literacy Fundraiser. There will be multiple “glowing” games to try this year. Free-will donations will be collected to support the library.

Sign up to be part of the Read & Dine: Adult Winter Reading Club!
Read ten books to earn an entry for a drawing to win a Kindle Fire or a $25 gift card to a local restaurant. Reading logs will be available at the circulation desk or at our drive-thru pickup window.
Participants who finish reading 10 books will receive a cookbook (while supplies last).

Celebrate Earth Day by recycling!
The library has the opportunity to earn exciting rewards by increasing our paper recycling volume. Plus the library will earn double the usual payouts during the contest period.
The library could win $5,000 (1st Prize), $2,000 (2nd Prize), $1,000 (3rd Prize), or double earnings for the entire year of 2025 (beyond the contest period). Winners will be selected based on the largest percentage increase in paper recycling. The winners will be announced on Earth Day 2025.
The PaperGator is located behind the library past the staff parking area. All paper products including old damaged books can be recycled (no cardboard or plastics accepted).

For Kids Of All Ages
Children of all ages can drop in during this time to create valentines for their friends and loved ones.
The library will provide all of the materials and clean up the mess! Special valentine snacks will be provided.

Unfortunately,the original date has been canceled for due to the performers not being able to make it to the library.
Classic and original songs and stories are featured from the Folk Era of the 1960’s into the 70’s. This show is loaded with lively audience interaction, participation, sing-along, and comedy. Jackie was an original member of the Grammy award winning New Christy Minstrels, and Gary is a folk performer and published songwriter. You will find this to be an entertaining, educational, humorous, fun, and memorable experience!
