Irene Miller, a Holocaust survivor, author, speaker, and educator will take you on a survival journey about which little has been written or shared.
Come along Miller’s journey…
You will sleep in the winter under an open sky in no man’s land; you will freeze in a Siberian labor camp where the bears come to your door front. In Uzbekistan, you will live on boiled grass or broiled onions, and shiver with malaria. You will spend years in orphanages.
After hearing this you will wonder how a child with this background grows up to become a positive, creative, accomplished woman who loves to share her story and her joy of living. Irene’s book, Into No Man’s Land, will be available for purchase and signing after the program.
The Friends of the Library are putting together another AMAZING Book Sale for the public to enjoy. All of the money raised at the Book Sale comes back to the library. These funds are used to encourage reading in the early literacy category. The Friends of the Library are also a huge source in funding the Summer Reading Program.
The Otsego District Public Library now provides notary service to our patrons. Documents can be notarized at two different rates: $10 for non-residents and $5 for residents per signature.
The Library will be CLOSED on President’s Day, Monday, February 18, 2019 for Staff Training.
