Halloween Bash – After Hours Party

The goblins are haunting and the monsters will mash. It’s time to get ready for our Halloween Bash! Gather your friends for this haunting evening of fun, games, prizes, PIZZA, and so much more!

Play hide and seek in the dark (after hours) and take part in the costume contest.

Paper Bead Holiday Earrings with Barbara Stewart of Stoney Creek Arts
Friday, November 1 from 1 – 4 PM and
Saturday, November 2 from 9 AM – Noon

Learn the art of paper rolling to make paper beads, which will be used to create beautiful holiday earrings (for pierced or non-pierced ears). Extra beads that are made may be used to make a bracelet. These can be used as holiday gifts or for yourself!

Class size is limited to 25 participants (ADULTS ONLY).

The cost is $20 and pre-registration is required (nonrefundable). Cost covers the instruction of the class, your finished products, and refreshments including coffee from Mezzo Coffee House.

Super Smash Bros. Tournament

Let’s Celebrate Michigan!

Drop in anytime during this event to find out what Michigan is known for. Make a Michigan car out of LEGO’s and see if it can survive a Michigan obstacle course, Pin-the-white-tail on the deer (state animal), make a painted turtle rock (state reptile), make a Kellogg’s Froot Loop necklace (Michigan-based cereal), and play Faygo ring toss.

Faygo floats and other Michigan snacks will be served.

The library is teaming up with Otsego’s Hometown Christmas lineup this year. Visit Santa and his LIVE reindeer from Reindeer Ranch of Kalamazoo before heading downtown Otsego for holiday fun!

Enjoy FREE hot chocolate, donut holes, popcorn, and make a holiday craft.

Wizard of Oz

Follow the yellow brick road to meet the Wizard of Oz in our large program room. Bring the whole family to join Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, and Toto as they make their way through the land of Oz. The cost to play this family-friendly fundraiser is $1 per person or $5 per family (children 2 and under are free). Proceeds from this event will go toward new toys and literacy-based activities in the Rise & Shine Early Literacy Center.

This event is sponsored by local businesses, so please contact the library if your business would like to sponsor this event. Hopefully you will discover that “there’s no place like home!”
