The Otsego District Library serves 14,230 residents with a budget of $518,000 and a staff of fifteen. In 2009, a beautiful new 18,000 square foot, LEED-Silver Level building opened for service to the community. A dedicated library millage voted in perpetuity provides 75% of the library’s operating revenue. The library has a staff known for its commitment to outstanding customer service and a supportive board that is responsive to the community. Otsego is located in beautiful southwest Michigan, fifteen miles north of Kalamazoo, thirty miles south of Grand Rapids, and only forty minutes from Lake Michigan. National Batman Day is Saturday, September 20! To celebrate, the library will have a scavenger hunt during that whole week. Come in any time the library is open, pick up a sheet at the desk, complete the hunt, and receive a special Batman prize!

Cardio drumming is a fun and low-impact fitness class that combines drumming with aerobic exercise. Participants use drumsticks to hit an exercise ball inside a bucket, following the rhythm of the music while incorporating movements. It’s a whole-body workout for all ages and fitness levels, even while sitting in a chair. Class sizes are limited to 20 participants, so sign up for one class only.
