End of Materials Check-in Quarantine

April 27, 2021 | See all Announcements

Otsego District Library Materials Check-in Quarantine Ends May 1st!

Notice to patrons: Due to recent data from the CDC, starting May 3, checked in items at Otsego District Library will no longer sit in the back for one week before returning to the shelves. Your items will be checked in the same day they are returned. This will get our items back to the shelves faster/out fulfilling some of our longer holds waitlists more quickly.

The new CDC data says that risk of surface spread is less than 1 in 10,000. We continue to encourage patrons to use good hygiene and wash their hands before/after visiting the library.

More details can be found HERE in the CDC briefing papers.

Used Book Donations To Begin Again!

April 27, 2021 | See all Announcements

Otsego District Library Begins Receiving Used Book Donations May 1st!

The Friends of the Library Used Bookstore has reopened and is fully stocked with great titles. Come visit soon! We will begin accepting used book donations again on May 1st.

We ask that you only bring in what you can carry/move yourself on a cart. The staff are not available to help move donations at this time. The Friends will not be having any giant book sales currently but rather only operating the store and sorting books for the library to sell on Amazon & ThriftBooks.

Because we have limited volunteer help, in order to spread out the donations this spring, please wait until the listed week to bring in your donations:
Last Names A-G Week of May 3
Last Names H-N Week of May 10
Last Names O-T Week of May 17
Last U-Z Week of May 24
Or throughout the summer.

Signup to volunteer to be a Friend of the Library and help sort books in our bookstore at the library’s circulation desk!

The Otsego District Public Library is committed to providing an environment free from sexual and other forms of harassment and hate. Patrons may not access, create, or print materials that may be objectionable.

Library employees are authorized to terminate any user’s access session via hotspots or in-library internet usage for up to one month if the user has failed to comply with the library’s Internet Policy and/or rules. The library director may impose longer or permanent restrictions for violations of the library’s Internet Policy. Internet users whose access session has been terminated or prohibited may request the decision reviewed by the Board of Trustees.

The Otsego District Public Library considers use of any ODPL Wi-Fi hotspot to constitute an acceptance of its Internet Use Policy. Patrons will sign this agreement each time they checkout a Wi-Fi hotspot. Only Resident Adults (ages 18 and up) may check out one Wi-Fi hotspot per library card.
Wi-Fi hotspots can only be reserved for two days.
