Event Cancelation
The library event One Fought On A WWI Soldier’s Story presented by Norm Hinga that was scheduled for Thursday, November 9 at 7 PM has been canceled. Keep an eye out in our newsletter as we do not have a reschedule date at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Now Accepting Bids: 2017/2018 Snow Season
The Otsego District Library is now accepting bids for plowing the entire library parking lot and salting the lot upon request. Plowing is requested for when there are 3 inches of snow or more. Please note price for plowing and salting separately in bid.
When needed, plowing must be done before library opens (9 AM Mon-Sat).
Also accepting bids for sidewalk shoveling: Shovel back staff walkway and areas in the front not plowed out by our snowplows (sidewalks out to the lot and front entry area). Spread salt on sidewalks when icy. Please submit a bid per time. This would be done on an as-needed basis and only upon request by the library.

Jumanji – Things are going to get wild!
Be on the lookout for things to get WILD at the library the end of December! An interactive game of Jumanji will come to life in the large program room.
Opens Tuesday, December 26, 2017 – and will run through Thursday, January 18, 2018.
There will be a special surprise program at the end of January. Real LIVE wild animals come to visit on Saturday, January 20, 2018!

Did you reach your reading goal for Build A Better World: Summer Reading Program? Receive your Finisher Prize Bag at the Circulation Desk!
Finisher Prize Bags are available for babies, children, and teens/tweens that completed their reading goal. Each bag has fun prizes specific for each age group.

Scholastic Book Fair Results!
A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who purchased books in the library for our 2017 Scholastic Book Fair and to our Friends of the Library for staffing our fair! This year, we sold 200 in new Scholastic books, totaling $3204. These sales earned the library $1676 in free Scholastic Books! That will help us add many great new titles to our children’s and teen collections!
Another BIG THANK YOU goes out to our Friends of the Library Volunteers for manning the book fair during library hours.
Scholastic Book Fair
Back by popular demand, the Scholastic Book Fair returns June 9 – 24, 2017 during all library open hours.
Let your children and grandchildren pick out some fun reading materials for summer to celebrate their accomplishments in school this past year! Books also make great birthday gifts.
Thanks to all of the wonderful community support, the Scholastic Book Fair raised $2000 in free books for the library last summer!
The library earns 50% of the profits to use toward free books.
