In this presentation we will explore the science behind this concept through a little experiment and learn ways to incorporate these ideas more fully into our lives.

Authors will have a table and space to promote their work, sell books, and discuss writing with the community.

The Friends of the Library are hosting a TWO DAY BIG Spring Book Sale!

Books will be on sale at discounted rates. Shelves inside the bookstore will be restocked with new titles after each sale.

The Otsego Art Competition 2025 will take place in the library’s large program room May 3-10. The public is welcome to view the art all week during open library hours.
Each person may vote for their favorite piece in both the adult and junior divisions. Voting will end Saturday, May 10 at Noon and the Awards Ceremony will take place immediately following from 1 – 2 PM.

The Otsego District Library serves 14,230 residents with a budget of $518,000 and a staff of fifteen. In 2009, a beautiful new 18,000 square foot, LEED-Silver Level building opened for service to the community. A dedicated library millage voted in perpetuity provides 75% of the library’s operating revenue. The library has a staff known for its commitment to outstanding customer service and a supportive board that is responsive to the community. Otsego is located in beautiful southwest Michigan, fifteen miles north of Kalamazoo, thirty miles south of Grand Rapids, and only forty minutes from Lake Michigan. Wear your best ugly holiday sweater and socks to celebrate the holiday season! Enjoy cookie decorating, treats, and all things jolly!
Bring a small inexpensive gift for the white elephant gift exchange – if you cannot provide a gift, please let us know and we will make sure you can participate.
