Norsemen of Michigan – Living History Society
Saturday, May 5 from 9 AM – 2 PM
A Viking living history encampment will appear on the library grounds for this special event. The Norsemen of Michigan Living History Society are committed to portraying daily Viking living – from metal-smithing to weaving and authentic cooking demonstrations, as well as a full armory of historical weapons. Come see what these Norsemen looked like during the 800-1100 period.
Check out their Facebook Page for more photos. Stop in for any length of time to see this reenactment and learn about Viking history! (The event will take place inside in case of inclement weather.)
