We have a fascinating SUMMER season planned for you at the library!

 
The Summer Reading Program is finaly here! The themes this year are Every Hero Has A Story (children) and Hidden Powers (teens and tweens). We will be featuring weekly games and crafts, Super Saturday events, Summer Storytime sessions, Fantastic Crafts, Superhero Movie & Lunch and a Superhero Headquarters in the Rise & Shine Early Literacy Center.
 
This year's Grand Prizes include: A Stay at Double JJ Resort featuring The Gold Rush Waterpark, A Super Pass to Sky Zone Trampoline Park, and a Family Membership to Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park! Children and teens set a reading goal for the summer program and can enter for a chance to win one of these awesome prizes.  
 
 
Don't forget to check out the great deals on books when the Scholastic Book Fair comes back for another great sale! Scholastic offers tons of great NEW books for children and teens! 
 
Our FREE Concert Series, Lyrics on the Lawn, is back for a third exciting year! We will be faturing FOUR amazing bands on Thursday nights in August at 7 pm. The library is excited to announce our lineup as: Basement Bluegrass, Max Colley III, Crescendo Fiddlers, and Kalamazoo Brass! The Friends of the Library will make FREE Popcorn for all attendees and will be selling bottled water at each event. Be sure to bring your folding chairs and lawn blankets for this exciting concert series!
 
You may notice the lovely sounds of piano coming from the library on Friday Afternoons throughout the summer. Piano on the Porch will feature local pianists playing on the history room porch.
 
SculptureWorks is getting a fresh summer look! There will be several NEW pieces available throughout the building. Keep your eye out for a few fun surprises!
 
 Don't forget to get your FREE Michigan Activity Pass! MI Big Green Gym is teaming up with the library to offer our patrons FREE passes to Michigan State Parks, Recreation Areas, and Historic Cultural Landmarks. These passes are valid for one free entry to the park or discounted rates. Get your pass soon!
