MeLCat Server Migration - Prepare for Temporary MeLCat Unavailability

Otsego District Library is a participant in MeLCat, Michigan’s statewide resource sharing system. Through this service, countless library patrons take advantage of the opportunity to borrow materials from hundreds of other participating libraries across the state. For technical reasons, MeLCat will be temporarily unavailable for new requests beginning on Wednesday, November 18. Library users will be able to pick up MeLCat materials until Wednesday, December 2. The ability to place requests will be restored by Friday, December 11. MeLCat materials can be returned at any time.

Book Face Contest!

Get creative and snap a photo of yourself as your favorite book cover! "Like" us on Facebook and look for the album of all the creative entries in our BOOK FACE Contest. Take a picture of your face in a book (with a face on it) and submit it by November 1 to: 

Dubsmash Contest (Teens & Tweens)

Create fun videos and submit them to the library to win prizes!
Teens & Tweens create silly, fun, and creative "dubs" all of the time! So why not have some fun and submit your videos to us and recieve prizes at our Viewing (Pizza) Party!
Dubsmash Viewing Party on November 13 at 4 pm. We will be giving out awards for the best dubs in several categories. Door prizes and pizza at the party!

When Amelia Came to Michigan

Explore the real life story of Amelia Earhart’s adventures in Michigan with historian Al Eicher on Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 pm.

This lecture and presentation documents the life and accomplishments of Amelia Earhart. The program follows Earhart's exploits over a 10-year period, including: childhood at the turn of the century, family life and education, early flying experiences, world records and eight years of adventures visiting Michigan.

CLOSED Labor Day Weekend

The library will be closed Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7.

We will re-open with regular hours on Tuesday, September 8.
