Scholastic Book Fair Results!

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who purchased books in the library and online for our 2015 Scholastic Book Fair and to our Friends of the Library for staffing our fair!
 
This year, we sold $2949.71 in books, earning the library $1917.32 in free Scholastic Books! That will help us add many great new titles to our children's and teen collections!
 

Teen & Tween Program Event Numbers INCREASED!

We are excited to announce that we will be increasing the number of teen and tween program attendees from 15 to 25! The library had more teens and tweens sign up for Hidden Powers on Saturday than we had in the ENTIRE program last year! Call the library at (269) 694-9690 or stop by the circulation desk to sign up for Hidden Powers Events (Thursdays at 4 pm).
 

Michigan Blood: Blood Drive

Join us in the Lura Sanford Room and make your donation to Michigan Blood  on Monday June 29 from 3 pm - 7 pm.
The need for blood never takes vacation but blood donors do. Please help out at this high need time. Attempt to donate and you could win a $100 Meijer Gift Card. APPOINTMENTS ARE PREFERRED Contact the library to sign up or with questions at (269) 694-9690.

Summer Reading Program

We have a MARVEL-ous summer of superhero themed events, activities, and stories planned out for children, tweens, and teens! Parents and their children will love this self-paced program that allows readers of all levels to excel with their own personal reading goal(s). Be sure to join us for our Kickoff and Registration Party on Saturday, June 13 from 10am - Noon to register for the Summer Reading Program. Enjoy FREE popcorn and popsicles, Scholastic Book Fair, The Balloon Guys, LIVE Animals, Face Painting and more!

CLOSED for Memorial Weekend

The library will be closed Saturday, May 23 - Monday, May 25. We will re-open with regular hours on Tuesday.

Brenda Morris, Assistant Director & Children's Librarian Retires

The Otsego District Library will be saying goodbye to Brenda Morris, assistant director and children’s librarian, who will be retiring Friday, February 20. Morris has “provided outstanding service” to the library for twenty years. Library director Andrea Estelle said, “Brenda truly deserves recognition for the many years of passion, hard work and creativity she has poured into
